The three-wheeler segment has been growing rapidly in recent years, and the Polaris Slingshot Grand Touring LE is the perfect example of that.

Not only is this another model in a motorcycle category that basically didn’t exist 10 years ago, it’s a much bigger machine than most of the others in this segment. Of the existing three-wheeler market, only Campagna’s made-in-Canada three-wheelers really compare to this in size.

Basically, the Grand Touring LE takes a bunch of optional bits from the standard Slingshot (roof, gullwing doors) and includes them as standard. As well, there are quilted comfort seats, a Rockford Fosgate audio system that’s pair to the vehicle’s infotainment system (with built-in GPS as standard). Polaris also included a backup camera.

The engine is still the same GM Ecotec 2.4 litre motor that’s powered millions of cars globally since the platform was introduced in the 1990s. That’s been the powerplant of choice for the Slingshots since they were first unveiled, and Polaris seems content to let owners work out their own performance enhancements.

Canadian pricing for the Grand Touring LE model starts at $35,499; more details here.
